Celebrating Cumberland

Greetings Everyone!

It was my birthday recently, so to mark the occasion I’ve made the last three posts in Pillars of Salt sequence free. They’re a special run of posts all focusing on the city of Cumberland and its history. The area has such a deep and fascinating history that I have been looking forward to sharing with people.

I’ve also got an idea percolating for the next sequence. We’ve still got a ways to go with Pillars of Salt, but I’m excited to start fleshing out something for you all once we finish our road trip together.

We’ve also got a lot of exciting things lined up for Disclosures, over at Whitehot Magazine, and I’ll continue to share those development with you here.

As always, click on the titles to see the post.

In the Pillars of Salt sequence:

The Queen City

A look at the origins of Cumberland as a frontier fort central to colonial trade and commerce to it’s flourishing as a hub of transportation through the mountains.

Jewels in the Queens City’s Crown

The city develops industry and heads into a mid-century boom. A sketch of the kind of city Cumberland resembles today and how its recognizable architectural and commercial properties came to be.

Some of My Best Friends Are From Cumberland

A philosophical post about hometown friendships.

Thanks for your support!
